Instructor of Piano, Voice, Violin

Sonia Hipple has been a part of the Music Education Center teaching staff since the Fall of 2010. She is also the elementary music teacher K-5 at Hollymead Elementary. 

Prior to Hollymead, Sonia taught choral and general classroom music at Rockfish River Elementary School in Nelson County, VA.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania and her Master’s Degree in Music Education, with certification in Kodaly Methodology, from The Hartt School of Music in Hartford, Connecticut.

Besides her love of music and teaching, Sonia enjoys running, Dunkin Donuts coffee, and spending time with her husband, her little girl and their two cats (Nova and Spresso).
