She is also the elementary music teacher K-5 at Hollymead Elementary.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prior to Hollymead, Sonia taught choral and general classroom music at Rockfish River Elementary School in Nelson County, VA.\u00a0 She received her Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Music Education from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania and her Master\u2019s Degree in Music Education, with certification in Kodaly Methodology, from The Hartt School of Music in Hartford, Connecticut.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Besides her love of music and teaching, Sonia enjoys running, Dunkin Donuts coffee, and spending time with her <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">husband, her little girl <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and their two cats (<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nova<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and Spresso).<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Instructor of Piano, Voice, Violin Sonia Hipple has been a part of the Music Education Center teaching staff since the Fall of 2010.
