Administrator, Instructor of Comprehensive Music Education
Nancy Wilbert has been at the Music Education Center since 1993. As administrator, private piano instructor, and comprehensive group classroom teacher, she understands and orchestrates the multi-faceted approach to music education at MEC.
Nancy began her music studies on piano at a young age, and later added band and choir. Nancy’s professional certification is in early childhood education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Additionally, she has trained in various music education methods and has supported the development of MEC’s comprehensive music classes. While Nancy manages the office, studio space, and student enrollment, her greatest love is teaching music to children and teenagers. She researches new teaching materials, maintains the music history library, and implements new and exciting techniques and repertoire with her students.
In her spare time, Nancy loves gardening, cooking, reading, and attending concerts. She especially enjoys visiting Boston to spend time with her daughter, Jessica, who is also a teacher!
